Information Technology Services (ITS)

Information Technology Services (ITS) on the campus of Texas A&M University at Qatar maintains a distinctive approach to providing technology services to faculty, staff, students, and affiliates.

Our vision is to provide innovative technology services - with creativity, enthusiasm, and integrity - framed through the perspective of end users, not technology professionals. Our staff are able to respond with flexibility and creativity to the challenges of a rapidly changing environment.

ITS was created in July of 2003, as a part of the founding of Texas A&M University at Qatar (TAMUQ) by Texas A&M University. TAMUQ is part of a multi-institution campus known as Education City, located in Doha, Qatar.

Education City is home to branch campuses of Virginia Commonwealth University, Weill Cornell Medical College, Carnegie Mellon University, Georgetown University, and other innovative education programs operated by the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science, and Community Development.

ITS is responsible for connecting the TAMUQ campus to its parent campus in College Station, Texas through an innovative array of technology services. These services include Internet and Internet2 access, desktop computing and local-area-network services, audio-visual equipment and instructional technology, information systems, supercomputing, and end user support and training.

This web site is intended to provide a broad compilation of information on technology for the Qatar campus. You will find everything from help desk notes to policy statements on this site. If you have any questions regarding this site please email the technology help desk.
