ITS Management Team

The Information Technology Services (ITS) management team, through the TAMUQ faculty and Operations Council, manages the technology operations on the Texas A&M University at Qatar campus.

The following are members of the ITS Management Team:

Chief Information Officer: Coordinates the overall technology strategic plan, technical architecture, and technology budgets for the TAMUQ campus. Directs and supervises the other members of the team. Also serves as the campus warden and crisis management coordinator. Mr. Khalid Warraich currently serves TAMUQ in this capacity.

Director of User Services and Instructional Technology:  Directs the daily activities of the ITS User Support and Instructional Technology department, including multimedia equipment, classroom media, WebCT, software training, and helpdesk functions. Serves as the chief end user representative to ITS. Mr. Ravi Kallianpur currently serves TAMUQ in this capacity.

Director of Computing Operations:  Assists the CIO in coordinating the overall technology architecture for the TAMUQ campus and directly supervises the delivery of data center, networking, desktop computing, and local-area-network file, print, and email services.  Mr. Michael Lucas currently serves TAMUQ in this capacity.

Interim Sr. Manager of Custom Applications  Supervises the Applications group within ITS. Delivers and supports packaged and custom built software applications, and coordinates the use of key enterprise information systems provided through Texas A&M University.  Mr. Russell Lindell currently serves TAMUQ in this capacity.

Information Technology Security and Policy Administrator:  Administers the user account, property, and information security awareness programs for the department. Coordinates the disaster recovery, business continuity, and departmental policies areas. Mrs. Beverly Farmer currently serves TAMUQ in this capacity.
